Sadly with the Trump election that was the case regardless.

I mean, I find it weird and awkward and would never dream of getting involved with my (former) sister-in-law, but people do lots of stuff I wouldn't.

I don't get why this is a thing to be discussed. Whatever.

You are forgetting Leviticus 18:16:

"Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness."

Leviticus 20:21:

"If there is a man who takes his brother's wife, it is abhorrent; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness. They will be childless."

However then you have Deuteronomy 25:5

"If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her."

So there is quite a bit of range there.....

As BugsyPal points out, the Old Testament doesn't just condone the practice, it actually makes it obligatory in certain cases.

I had a coworker who married his brother's widow because he felt responsible for his brother's kids as she had no one else. Their marriage is far from perfect but they do alright and have taken in foster kids as well. He is a civil engineer and able to provide for all of them.

Indeed there is.

But it remains a mystery why this is anybody's business but theirs.

I know it happens and love can be found in strange places.

Report: Former VP Joe Biden's son dating late son's widow - ABC News

The New York Post reports that Hallie Biden and Hunter Biden began dating after Hunter separated from his wife. In a statement to the Post, Hunter Biden said the pair was "incredibly lucky" to have found love and support from one another during a difficult time.

Beau Biden, the former Delaware attorney general, died from brain cancer in May 2015.

Hunter is the Biden son who got kicked out of the military for cocaine usage.

It doesn't effect your life either, yet you felt compelled to involve yourself in this thread.

Do you feel some sort of duty to deflect any criticism of any Democrat?
