Doesn't matter.

No, we're going to keep this country, too.

So now you are going to fight me on the definition of MAD! Right now we have a planet with about seven and half billion people. All out nuclear war with Russia could eliminate over half that number - that is MAD. The loser, if they never launched one missile; could be the winner because many would have a quick death.

All I am saying is that negotiations are the only logical alternative. Ending thousands of years of human evolution is not the wisest choice. I am not a proponent of agreeing to every Russian term. But many in Russia are logical and see negotiations as their only alternative.

Obama traveled to Mexico and complained about Americans. So far everything Trump has accomplished or tried to accomplish has been for America. If it ever looks like Trump is working for Russia, like Obama worked for Iran, Syria, or Mexico; I would turn on him in a second. Until that time you are not making any points.

The US and European far right likes Putler because he is:

  • a strong leader
  • macho
  • pisses liberals off
  • hates gay rights and other liberal ideas
  • tough on crime and opposition
It's like the fascination with Mussolini. The guy's ok until he decides to pick on you.

More people in NYC and LA.

So what?

Admitting that those two cities are full of SJW nut cases, illegal aliens and people who profit from them is an issue the left has a problem with....not the right.

Friends? No. You have to be able to trust a friend and I'm not sure we could ever trust Russia. Drinking buddies, maybe. Get together every once in a while when it's convenient for both of us, drink a few beers, have a few shots of vodka, bomb some ISIS camps together, then go back to living our separate lives. It was fun but don't call me if you need help moving, I gotta visit the in-laws that weekend, sorry.

It is not the Russian people, per se, that are a problem, it is one man, PUTIN. Well, he and the other people in power over there.

The reason we can not be "friends" is because our beliefs and goals are 180 out of phase with theirs. We are basically peace loving, they are actively trying to take over the world.

Just like we have a madman at the helm, so do they. Not a good mix.

After the fall of the USSR the US should have attempted to build a strong relationship with Russia, perhaps even bringing them into the fold. Instead NATO began to encircle Russia, and western governments covertly supported pro-western leaders within Russia and neighboring states. Which was a very antagonistic move when you view it from a Russian perspective.

That being said, Russia is clearly not without blame in all of this. Some of its actions have been outrageous.

If you want to be friends with Putin's Russia then that's entirely up to the US and it's Government, we British did fall out with him Putin's Russia after Russian Agents poisoned Alexander Litvinenko with Polnium-210 in London in 2006, leaving a radiation trial across London. The Russians also refused Scotland Yards request in relation to questioning suspects Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun and refused to extraditon.

Litvinenko's death was later followed by Billionare Putin critic Boris Berezovsky's death and numerous others. Putin response was to send nuclear capable bombers to fly over Britain.

Putin also enjoys placing spy ships off Western Countries coastlines and last year NATO warplanes had to scramble 800 times in relation to Russian Aircraft entering NATO Nations Airspace, which is twice the number as the year before. Whilst Putin has vast forces placed along the European Borders and that is besides the controversy related to the influencing of western politics and cyber crime, indeed Putin is now setting up a new branch of the Russian Armed Forceswhich will focus on information warfare.

The Russians look after their own interests, and if they can lull you in to a sense of false friendship and you allow them ever more influence then they will be delighted. At best we should try and have some form of dialogue and workable diplomatic relationship with Putin's Russia however a trusting close friendship is never going to be on the agenda.
Yes, they are all valid points to make.

But let's not pretend that we're innocent in all of this. We have been doing similar things to Russia. We've had spies ejected from Russia, we've encircled them, we've destabilized neighbouring countries, we've attempted to covertly influence their internal politics, etc.

Much of the media outrage towards Russia has been manufactured, and highly hypocritical.
