From what I've seen and observed of Western Europe, they don't allow free speech and expression and will use the PC laws they have to get rid of this threat.

I think they also coming up with a rule where they can cut off any one speech in parliament if is violating their PC rules. I am assuming this response is based on her recent remarks against Merkel. Looks like left completed full circle by fighting for free speech and expression to stopping it now.

Whether they can or can't successfully stop Le Pen I don't think is the issue for those doing this (I am sure they 'can' given their laws and means - it is whether they 'should' or not). The issue for them will be what kind of residual effects they may have to deal with from the people if they use all the means at their disposal to press their point. Their tactics may have worked many years ago to shut things down/shut people up ... when people didn't get 'news' in an instant and the concept of 'fake news' was not in the forefront of many people's minds, but I somehow think it may not work as it used to now, especially after Brexit and Trump's election against all odds. The 'people' (or enough of them) are not as complacent as they used to be.

If they burn Le Pen at the stake, out of the ashes are likely to rise many more like her!
