A conservative author tried to speak at a liberal arts college. He left fleeing an angry mob (enemies, ethical)

Do you really need me to post the many right-wingers who shoot dead people just because they read some stuff on Breitbart and it made them angry???!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is not a joke lady, some right-wingers are dangerous to society.

Shooting dead people is sick, but not so depraved as killing a live person.
I have. I don't think you would agree with the speaker on most of what he wrote 25 years ago, as you seem to be a pretty smart feller. And don't appear to be a white supremacist either. The neo-Nazis just love his stuff.
"Controversial" is a weak word for what the academic world thinks of this guy. Sean Hannity would have gotten a warmer welcome.
Would I disagree in the facts presented, or my feelings on the matter, no matter what facts brought out to place on the table of reason?

If the ideas were *facts,* then you would not disagree. However, Charles Murray's *facts* are not factual and have been debunked by other scientists because his statistics and his statistical analysis were flawed. That, otoh, is not a reason for keeping him from speaking. We need to be able to critically analyze his flaws - it's a case of know your enemy here.
You'd turn the screeching up to 11 if it was a liberal who was shut down and had to flee a mob preventing their right to free speech. But of course since it's a conservative it doesn't mater.
I know this is a bit aged (12 days and focused on Berkeley) now but I like what he says. I transcribed a bit of it. Good part starts at 3:45 and lasts under 8 minutes.
What a short-sighted, idiotic, counter-productive thing to do. And what worries me about this moment politically is that the left seems capable of doing everything wrong in response to the rise of the so-called Alt-Right and the Trump Presidency. This antipathy to free speech... this idea that rioting to prevent a lecture is an example of "liberal" free speech in action... that is just so confused, and destructive, that I'm tempted to say that the left is just irredeemable at this point. There seems to be so little insight.
