AARP is coming out against the age penalty on it. Will be interesting to see how the right handles that. That's a lot of their base.

AARP also highly touted Obamacare so they've lost any credibility they had...

I don't quite understand why the GOP needs vote on repeal, and then work out the details on a replacement later. It would make more sense to have a comprehensive replacement plan before repeal, the hard work should come first unless this is just for show. Kind of like selling your house or car before you have a replacement.

AARP supported Obamacare and then sought out an exemption for themselves.

This isn't really a repeal bill. The new bill keeps a lot of the ACA, and only changes some parts.

No other Administration has moved as swiftly to keep campaign promises as this one.

I like the fact there is lack unanimity among Republicans. The lack of signals real discussion, even disagreement. Much more in the mould of a democratic republic, than the monolithic, sycophantic democratic mob masquerading as a political party. Group think. Group speak.

They really haven't accomplished anything yet, the GOP will have their hands full getting agreement within their own party. Poor red states like West Virginia are heavily dependent on the ACA and this new bill does not appear to cover the cost.

They have a rather strong disagreement on how to replace, we will see.

Agreed. I wonder about the sweet irony of states most heavily dependent on Medicaid voting in those who turn around and gut it....somehow I assume they will still blame takers, immigrants, muslims, and minorities....
