This article points out how new taxes, not a reduction in them, is necessary to salvage our crumbling infrastructure. The American Society of Civil Engineers, gives our infrastructure a grade of D+. If all the proposed new tax-breaks for the rich were rolled-back, that would be a good start. It all depends on whether the Republican Politicians really want to benefit our country or just provide a bonus for others who are as wealthy as they are. Come to think of it, there is a conflict of interest they have, in any measure that reduces taxes for the rich. All the multi-millionaires in congress, should have to recuse themselves from any vote that would reduce their own taxes. The Democrats would have a majority in any such votes.

Please quote directly from this Article on what they propose the solutions to be ....... I could find no solutions, just Fear Mongering. I failed to find "Tax the Rich" as a "solution".
My State and Local Government proposes Bonds every year for Infrastructure. The Citizens pass the bonds, which they then PAY for and the work is done. Roads, Bridges, Water Infrastructure - are all addressed. I fully understand that other States may pass these Bonds and then spend the Money for other Agenda Projects - a great example is California and their Crumbling Dams .... they passed Trillions of Dollars in Bond Projects and then the Money went "Poof" and the Dams were not repaired.
Exactly what is your point????
What good is it to pass a Bond Package and then the work is not performed?
The very first bill that Obama and the Leftists passed was the Trillion Dollar "Infrastructure Bill" ($870 Million + Interest) ...... that money went to save Union Jobs in service and Teacher Unions.
Not my idea of "infrastructure" - Obama himself said - "turns out that shovel ready jobs are not really shovel ready".
The article makes no sense and offers no solutions except "tell your CongressCritter to "Tax the Rich".

We need to do this, our roads and bridges are crumbling around the US and we need to raise revenue to get this done. I don't know if it could be done purely on the rich but certainly taxes need to be raised whether it's gasoline tax or raising income tax. We have not done significant improvements in general going back decades, this needs to change.
"Getting all of the nation's infrastructure into relatively good shape by the year 2025 would cost $4.59 trillion, according to the ASCE report; that's $2 trillion more than is budgeted by local, state and federal governments to address infrastructure needs."
$250 Billion per year for 8 years is doable, but increasing the gasoline tax by $0.25/gallon will not do much for the economy.

My suggestion about the rich was simply to not lower their taxes, as a starting-point for having enough revenue to fix up our roads and bridges. We could forget about self-driving cars, if the broken-down roads could support only travel by oxcart. Unless there are drastic changes in the way we fund essential things and spread the cost fairly among everyone who has enough to contribute, our thousands of dams and reservoirs will break down eventually, as well as all major facilities. After that, how could our society continue, with a loss of flood-control, power generation and the irrigation they provide?
G.H.W. Bush #41, was the one who said, "No new taxes! (read my lips). And he did have to raise taxes. And he didn't get re-elected.
Well definitely feel we need to look at changing the tax system in the US. Do away with income tax.
Only taxes would be social security tax, tax for healthcare, tax for Defense/Government operations, national flat sales tax, flat commercial tax (tax businesses on how much they make yearly in the US), additional small flat tax on corporation/LLC, tax on imported goods, and tax on legalized marijuana/alcohol/cigarettes (Exemption on this tax would be on Native American Reservations).
