You'd think that, as much as John McCain despised Barack Obama, he would have been able to find some evidence to prove his birth certificate was fake.
When I needed to renew my driver's license, it was necessary to present my birth certificate with the raised seal. My parents probably never noticed that my middle name was misspelled. In fact, it's spelled in the masculine form. So that must mean I'm lying about my citizenship or maybe I was born a man, which might explain some things. I mean, I don't like to shop and I only own 4 pairs of shoes!

Exactly. She graduated high school in Seattle and went to college in Hawaii when it was already a state, where she met Obama's father. There's no record of her leaving the country before he was born.
Yeah, nearly as crazy as the "Russian Hacking" stories floating around by conspiracy theorists.
No, Russia did interfere in our election and Putin did want Trump elected, but whether or not Trump is directly involved is the only question that hasn't been answered yet. There have been numerous ties to Russia, including his close adviser, Michael Flynn, who not only was fired, but now admits to being a foreign agent. Even VP Pence said yesterday that's the main reason he was asked to resign. IMO there's just no way Trump didn't know his close friend, a man he appointed to National Security Adviser, wasn't working for Turkey and his contract ended after Trump’s the Nov election.
There's a big difference between a conspiracy theory with no proof and evidence of wrongdoing.

Too much time on your hands. Sorry, but over-estimating one's self is not good.
Aha! So now I know where you're getting the other false claims. That was taken out of context.
Oh, please. The Bay of Pigs Invasion and the birth date on Obama's birth certificate are both KNOWN dates.

First you referred to an obscure law that would not apply to someone born in the United States and never left the country.
You said Obama would be a US Citizen no matter where he was born due to his US Citizen Mother. I corrected that error by citing Nationality Law in effect at the time of Obama's birth. Nationality Law is not obscure. That's a very odd assertion to make.

Now you are making up something that was printed on right-wing conspiracy sites like World News Daily and InfoWars.
Made up? No. That's another very odd assertion. It actually happened:

"Obama also extended a hand to Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega, whom President Ronald Reagan spent years trying to drive from power. Ortega was ousted in 1990 elections that ended Nicaragua's civil war, but was returned to power by voters in 2006.
Ortega stepped up and introduced himself to Obama, U.S. officials said. But a short time later, Ortega delivered a blistering 50-minute speech that denounced capitalism and U.S. imperialism as the root of much hemispheric mischief. The address even recalled the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, though Ortega said the new U.S. president could not be held to account for that.
"I'm grateful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old," Obama said, to laughter and applause from the other leaders."
Who cares about where he was born at this point? What is interesting is O's brother decided to embarrass Barack with this news story.
Does the former President have good relationships with any of his 10 siblings? His parents were married like 6 times and Barack's extended family seems very fractured.
if there was evidence to support the claim i'd be with you but.... there isn't. i know of the clinton volunteer that was fired for the "birther" email in december 2007 ( it wasn't a "birther" email. the email actually claimed he was a muslim and specifically stated obama was born in hawaii). plus there were clinton supporters ( the PUMAs ) among the early birthers but nothing to support that it came from the campaign.
2011..... and it only increased the conspiracy theory ( thanks in part to sheriff joe and the comically incompetent cold case posse ).
The release of the long form bc siilenced most but the fringe, and had it been released originally, there would have been very little of an issue over it.
