Sessions didn't lie either. When you are in court or Congress for that matter, you answer the questions asked. He was asked if he met with Russians AS PART OF THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN, which he did not, he met with them as a Senator on the Armed Services Committee.

Oh yes, of course. Exactly what I would think a liberal would say. Thanks.

Great so let's investigate and hold congressional hearings on Hillary+Russia, Obama+Wire tapping and Trump+Russia. Put everyone under oath and get to the bottom of things.

Right?

Oh, and you believe the Kremlin? bwahaha

Weak.

He was not asked if he met with Russians as part of the Trump campaign. He was asked what he would do if he found out about such meetings.

He volunteered that he had been a surrogate for the Trump campaign, he had no knowledge of such meetings, and had had no communications with Russians.

Yet Sessions flew to the RNC on convention funds and was there as part of the Trump campaign, so maintaining that he was there as a Senator on the Armed Services Committee is ludicrous.

Moreover, the Senate Armed Services Committee has jurisdiction over research and development of weapons systems, defense policy, the military, the Panama Canal, security aspects of nuclear energy, naval petroleum reserves, pay/promotion/retirement of U.S. Armed Forces...

What part of that would require meeting with the Russian Ambassador? If it did, why wasn't the chair of the committee meeting with the Russian Ambassador instead of Sessions?

Many are at a loss as to what business a Senator on the Armed Services Committee would be discussing with the Russian Ambassador. He ought to release the transcript of the meeting and settle the matter.
