The poster is wrong. He's ignoring the $31+ million he paid in Alternative Minimum Tax. Trump actually paid 25%, a higher percentage than Obama, Romney, Sanders, MSNBC, and the New York Times, lol.

I don't know what this particular return really showed? That people try to reduce their tax liabilities as much as possible? I don't think that's illegal or unethical.

Now let's see what DJT does for his tax plan proposal. I think that will be more interesting and telling as to whether he favors the top fraction of the 1% or not.

This unfortunately was built up to be a whole lot of nothing. We do need to see his returns. Perfect example why:

Again, it's irrelevant. Even acknowledging the poster's point feeds a false premise.

Well, it was only two pages, so it doesn't reveal much. Just that he had very high income and actually did pay some federal taxes that year. All the schedules that would have the revealing info were absent.

Heck, maybe tRump himself released this return.

I can believe that. Anything to get wiretapping out of the headlines.

His Form 1040 looks exactly like I would expect it would, tbh. There's really not much information to be gathered from a form that is mostly just a summary statement. Not sure what kind of GOTCHA people were expecting to see from it? The only thing remotely noteworthy on his tax return is that the bulk of his tax bill came from Alternative Minimum Tax... which is something he is in favor of getting rid of.

But depending upon other changes he and the administration makes, AMT may not even be something needed to ensure equitable effective tax rates.

Only crazed liberals still care about Trump's tax returns. Some folks keep tuning into RM and other "fake news" sources because it's hard to believe they would continue to make such noisy claims about every little thing ... and yet, repeatedly have absolutely nothing! Time and again, they chop the legs out from under their own potential credibility. IMO even the liberals must be starting to recognize that the nightly dose of "Trump hate rhetoric" spewed by the left media is without substance or rational credibility.

What do you all want personal income or Trump's company tax returns Personal taxes aren't likely to have many additional schedules.
