I see no reason to start a new thread, so I shall insert this here:

Reset: The US-Saudi relationship - CNNPolitics.com

An odd little article, in at least one respect. It seems that the Saudi Kingdom has determined that the best way to deal with our President is through "flattery" (note the quotation marks. Quotation marks mean things!).

Here are some of the remarks made by the Saudi prince that met with President Trump:

Regarding the travel ban, the Prince (or his spokesman) said:

"His Excellency expressed his understanding and support for this vital and urgent precaution measure to protect the United States of America from expected terrorist operations".

Of course, the tune may have been a little different if Saudi Arabia had been included, but, it was not.

Then we have:

"Prince Mohammed considers his Excellency (Donald Trump) as a true friend of Muslims who will serve the Muslim world in an unimaginable manner, opposite to the negative portrait of his Excellency that some have tried to promote, whether through publishing unjust statements that are taken out of their context or by means of unrealistic media commentaries and analyses about his Excellency."

My! Laying it on a bit thick. Many had not realized that President Trump was a 'true friend of the Muslims".

This article noted that the Saudi Kingdom had looked favorably upon a potential Clinton presidency, but were worried that she would have insisted on the Kingdom engaging in some degree of political reform and respect for human rights. With His Excellency Trump, such concerns are no longer a concern:

The logical answer is nothing. We have Nationlist or corporate interests to keep Good relations despite the fact they may be the logical source of terrorism
When was the last time a Saudi national committed an act of terrorism in the United States?

Let's see --- that would be sixteen years ago.

S.A.'s intel services cooperate with ours in vetting Saudi visitors.

There's your answer.
