So all you left wingers out there that despise our military and want it to go away...and want the budget for it slashed drastically further or eliminated, I have a question. What would we or should we do if we are attacked on our own soil?
and you do realize the budget for the military was already slashed big time in the last eight years? But hey, they are all a bunch of baby killers to you left wingers.

Yep, it's the middle class taking the hits in both directions, which is why I'm not a liberal either.
New Deal Democrats dont support means testing of public services. The middle class would massively benefit from policies promoted by New Deal Democrats like better worker's rights, a national Medicare-for-all health care system, strengthening of SSI, SSDI and SS and getting big money out of politics. Being a progressive New Deal Democrat is the only rational choice for the middle class. Right wing Democrats and the GOP serve the big money donors, not the people. Its impossible to serve both the people and the big money at the same time.

Tell me how making people poorer with taxes and deficit spending stops that from happening?

Its this type of rhetoric that led us to the Iraq war. That cost the taxpayers $3 trillion, enough for tuition free higher education for 50 years. America has by far the biggest military in the world. Its time to spend money on the American people, not more perpetual war mongering in the Middle East.

But congrats, now we'll cut all the programs that might retrain you to be a part of the 2017+ workforce, we'll deprive modern industry of you, and other trained workers they so desparately need, and by the way, sorry we won't help give you the skills you need to be employed, but we are also cutting any aid you might have while you are unemployed. Now, go figure out how to buy your own education, quit whining, and get your arse to work. We are a Trump nation, and we don't care about you anymore."

"...oh, and those Veterans we campaigned about taking care of, in between insulting them and their families, well their benefits and support is cut too. But that's OK, because they put their life on the line for our country in the past. What have they done for us lately. Can't afford care for the injuries you sustained defending our country? Get a job, you lazy arse..."

Yep, we're all winners. (sarcasm)
Another person who believes if the feds do not do something, then it will not, and cannot ever be done.

It was 0bama's federal government who crapped all over those people and destroyed those coal jobs in the first place.

I don't buy into the liberal progressive message in many ways (anti-capitalism, anti-wealth, pro-patriarchy social legislation), but of course we should have universal healthcare.

Taxes do not make the wealthy poorer. If you are poor you will be paying more in traxes under Trump.

Add higher education that should not only be funded, but mandated imo.

0bama just added $10 trillion to the debt, so where is our "free higher education for 50 years?"

During 0bama's two terms he added $10 trillion in new debt, and who got rich? It sure as hell was not the poor, because we expanded the number of people living in poverty in the USA, reaching a fifty year high with the US poverty level.

The rich got richer under 0bama, and the poor got poorer, even while he was spending more money then anyone in human history had before.

You guys say that every year, and each year most of the poor who file income taxes end up getting back a tax return higher than the taxes withheld.
