first off, hillary was flotus in the 90s, not the 80s. and yes for what the left wing media would consider a minor indiscretion, they would ignore it.
as for bill, yes they reported his indiscretions, but they were reluctant to say much of anything else, and when ken starr started investigating the issue, they dumped all over starr about it, since it was only sex.
as for weiner, they started off defending him, but too many allegations surfaced from too many people for them to ignore the obvious, weiner was a pervert, so they threw him under the bus.

Yes and they also refused to report extensively on Huma Abedin's radical Islamic connections with the Muslim Brotherhood and her opposition to Israel. The Muslim Brotherhood is a very radical, pro-terrorist, jihadist group and that Huma would be involved with them shows her radicalism. I think a lot of liberals support Islamic fundamentalism and the Palestinian cause simply because that is anti-American, just like so many people like Jane Fonda supported the Vietcong just because they were against the United States. What matters most to these people to is their hatred for America, they will support anyone who is opposed the US, including the Soviet Union, North Vietnam, Islamic jihadists, Palestinians, Muslim refugees, illegal aliens, and Communist China and above all Fidel Castro whom they truly idolize.
They also oppose anything that is Christian, hence their rabid support for abortion and gay marriage and their support for the Palestinians whose claim to Jewish land is based on the Koran. The Bible says the Land of israel belongs to the State of Israel, so they support the Palestinian, islamic side instead.
