Trump won his electoral college victory with the votes of rust belt democrats who voted for Obama in 2008 and mostly again in 2012. These are the people who are becoming dissatisfied with his performance in office and why he has slipped so badly in the approval polls.
Remember when everyone was saying in November it was impossible for Trump to win because his approval numbers were at record and historical lows. Or when the Republican field consolidated, his ceiling was 20 percent?

Why do you think virtually every news organization, whether in print or on the air, have such negative things to say about Donald Trump. As for the poll, it is the lowest of all the polls on RCP's average of polls.
In other words, it's cherry-picked.
It also surveys all adults whether they are registered to vote, have voted in recent elections or even have the legal right to vote.
It's a meaningless popularity contest.
It's also a meaningless popularity contest that is contradicted by the two other polls on the list that survey all adults.
Those two other polls both show Trump with a 45% approval rating.
The polls that measure registered voters, people we know have the legal right to vote, show Trump's approval rating ranging from 41% to 47% and averaging 43.7%.
The only poll on the list that surveys likely voters gives Trump a 48% approval rating.
I'm not a liberal myself , i'm a independent since 1980 , and I would say that the Liberals have said that Donald Trump actually paid $38 Millions in taxes in 2005 , that's what the Liberals are saying.
Well for the whole election year, the democrats said Trump never paid taxes. They also said he will never get to 270, and when he did, they said the electors will deny him the presidency. So... who knows? I tell you, as a Trump supporter.... I am thoroughly enjoying ever day.

You do realize Trump is plummeting in Rasmussen and Fox polls too right? Which are notoriously very right leaning and favorable to Trump.

Rasmussen has him plummeting all the way down to 48%.
If I recall Trump started about even in the Gallup. So in less than two months he has managed to go from zero differential to 21% negative! Imagine where he will be by summer at this rate. He could get worse than Congress.
According to the RCP average, Trump has dropped from 44.3% approval on January 27th to 43.7% approval today (0.6%).
That's what happens when the media makes it its mission to destroy the guy every day.
