Trump and/or members of his entourage may well be Russian agents.
Trump continues to accuse the past president of wiretapping him, an idea he got from a conspiracy nutcase on a alt-right website. FBI says it never happened.
Trump accused British intelligence of wiretapping him based on a Fox News "legal analyst" who owns a place in Trump Tower. Brits said that was ridiculous nonsense and to stop it.
Trump's senior advisor is an alt-right white supremacist who is working to bring about the destruction of our nation's institution.
And the best team Trump can come up with is but-but Clinton?

They also imo did not have a satisfactory answer as to why the Congressional Intelligence committee was not briefed on their investigation of Trump Campaign until a month or so ago. In fact, I found Comey to be particularly evasive about that. His reason of it being too sensitive made no sense, as how is it any less sensitive today.

That was simple enough to figure out.
There is a good chance he didn't want team Trump to know the FBI was looking into their Russian connections and the last time he informed members of Congress about an investigation, it was leaked.
Habitual liar? Trump makes Clinton look like a choir girl by comparison. And as far as criminality goes, treason is a far worse crime than anything Clinton was even perceived to have done. Enjoy denialism... it's all ya got.
So true. All the many outlandish, nasty falsehoods, conspiracies and disinformation about her during the campaign. They came fast and furious and were bought hook, line and sinker. Not just by the Trump faithful but by those who just weren't sure. It would have been more than a full-time job for a team fact-checking so much garbage.
The email situation was wrong (but not unprecedented including among Republicans). It was overblown and out of perspective. The Trumpers all had their own special misrepresentations to add to the other ugly untruths. And their chant to roil the ill-informed. Comey's two announcements so near the election were the cherries on the crap heap.
By verifiable information, Hillary has generally been found truthful. Conversely, Trump has been found to be an inveterate and pathological liar. When confronted repeatedly with the facts, he drowns in his own falsity rather than acknowledge the truth. Pathological is what he is. But that is what many prefer and what they got. And what the rest of us have. If Trump eludes this go-round, it's going to be a slog through the toxic sludge of the Trump morass until he's caught up with.

I guess the people decided that they would rather have that than Marco Rubio.
Comey himself said today they "always do this". He then elaborated and said the difference was they were much "noisier" about it this go round as if they wanted everyone to know they were doing it, although he never really said why he thought that.
Comey himself also said that they weren't so much trying to steer the election toward Trump as they were trying to undermine and discredit the expected(by pretty much the whole world) administration of Clinton in hopes of undermining her policies that would not have been in their favor.
But, in any case, that is a whole different issue than whether or not their was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to accomplish anything.
Hacking into the DNC emails during an election was most certainly "noisier", I don't ever recall a foreign power doing this during an election and that is why the investigation continues. Putin had it in for Clinton especially after her public comments during his obviously rigged election. He certainly didn't want her elected and Trump was the competition but then you have all these Russian connections to the Trump campaign and some out right lies about their relationship.
We will see what Comey's investigation turns up but there are certainly many coincidences.
With trump tweeting during the hearing from the White House account complete falsehoods I don't understand how supporters cannot be angry at trump. He is ruining this country.
That was particularly weird, doesn't he have better things to do as president instead of watching television.
A criminal investigation, based on what probable cause? A criminal investigation that 8 months in, has produced zero evidence. Not a single intelligence agency has anything so far. Nothing. At some point they have to admit it's a political with hunt. The people get it.
If you listened to the hearing Comey stated that just coming before a committee to answer questions relative to an on going investigation is rare. They don't give monthly updates before congress when an investigation is in progress, you will see the evidence at the conclusion.
