anti American, illegal alien run crap hole.... in other words... a liberal paradise
Oh for gods sake, north of Bakersfield is hundred of miles of some of the richest, most productive farmland in the world. How you can call the central valley anything other than an economic powerhouse is beyond me.

This is the part of California that voted for Trump.

BTW, that farmland is only sustainable only by pumping in water, in a very ecologically unstable manner from far away.

This feat can be reproduced anywhere in the desert SW.

You probably should get your eyes checked then.

The chicken littles who are scared of the immigrant are so hilarious.

Because the majority of people who talk about California know absolutely zero about California.

You do realize that companies move frequently, either in terms of offices, HQ, etc.
You must never have worked in corporate america.

We moved part of our HQ to IA...but the bulk of our talent is here in CA. IA is for junior staff
and other non-essential stuff. Plus, it's easier to keep things like call centers there, where turnover
is high

Because the talent here in CA is >>>>>>>>> most states in the US
Comparable to CA in terms of top talent are states like NY, MA, MN, IL, and a few others...all liberal states

Yeah, yeah, doom and gloom.

In 2015 (haven't seen the stats for 2016) California created more jobs than Texas (and Texas did pretty well) and Florida combined, so it is a little bit early for obituaries.

Tennessee gets a bunch of corporate types who don't want to pay state income tax and can easily fly or drive over to states with lower sales taxes.

And the way to play the game is if you set up shop, but maintain many of your core operations in your SF, Minneapolis, or Chicago office as those cities have the best talent. My former employer used to do this in Indiana. Had our HQ in indianapolis, but it was in name only and full of low level folks. All our top folks, engineers, and technical staff was in the bay area.

LOL...it was pretty funny.
Lots of those flyover states have that problem.
