Would these be the ICBMs they were not supposed to have developed after Bill Clinton paid them appeasement? A situation made worse by Obama because Obama was afraid of the Chinese?
This is yet another mess that Obama has left behind that Trump will now have to deal with.
Trump should use his Wall Street/ Banking connections to flood the North Korean economy with adjustable-rate mortgages and mortgage-backed securities. Destroy the North Korean economy for 10 years with no collateral damage.
The only peaceful way is to get their big brother China to place a boot up their azz. Then put the other boot squarely on their neck, holding them on the ground.
North Korean will soon have an ICBM capable of hitting the USA - what is Trump's plan?
The plan to intercept N Korean (or anyone else's) ICBMs has been in place for over a decade. It involves ship based ABMs as well as ground based anti-missiles in Alaska. Those plans are approaching full operational status.
That system couldn't defend against an all-out saturation attack by dozens of missiles, but it would work against a handful, like N Korea could feasibly launch at some future time.
North Korean ICBM missiles will change nothing. North Korea fires off test missiles and gnashes their teeth in an effort to achieve recognition by the rest of the world.
I think Trump will ignore North Korea. The press will shriek their silly heads off and talk about how Los Angeles is "threatened" and pull their hair out while screaming that Trump should "do something", but Trump is too smart for that.
For that matter, North Korea is too smart to start anything.
But South Korea may purchase or be supplied with a missile defense system.
They already have been supplied with such a system and China cried about it, screw China.
You guys love to get your schwanzstuckers in a wringer about what Obama did, when it's ancient history. The man is gone and forgotten and marginalized..........
....So says the man from the party who compares all opponents to Hitler.
Obama set foreign relations back 25 years and was assisted by Pelosi and Reid. The damage is lasting and North Korea is part of that damage. So talking about Obama is perfectly relevant.

We already have trade sanctions and diplomatic talks are never going to work.
The Options are:
1. Missile Defence - sensible, although it risks upsetting some nations.
2. Work with the Chinese - in order for them to put pressure on North Korea - sensible, although it may not be that effective as the North Koreans tend to ignore even the Chinese.
3. Limited Strikes - taking out North Korea's Nuclear Capability and Military Capabilities - very risky as it could cause problems with China.
4. All Out War - this would be the least sensible option and could develop in to a World War.
I honestly don't think N. Korea is stupid enough to launch anything in any direction, they realize they would be destroyed. I even think China might get in on the act.
Whatever. The root cause of the "mess" began when we left Korea in 1953. The reference to Obama was a nice try at deflection, though.
The topic of the post was - do you trust Trump to make sound strategic decisions regarding Korea? If so, why? He hasn't shown us that he is willing to listen to his military advisers about anything, so far. How do YOU think we ought to proceed?
This most definitely has to do with Obama he was terrible at dealing with the eastern hemisphere countries and as I said they don't respect him.
In those cultures they respect strong people not wishy washy people like Obama that are scared to even say radical Muslims. I mean wth is wrong with the guy. He's a wimp and not assertive at all.
