Not everyone can or wants to drive 12 hours. Trump is eliminating access to travel. The fly over states will literally be flyover states. People will have no way to go on vacations or visit family in middle states.

Trump is eliminating access to things people need like food and clean water and basic health. He is horrible.

Didn't he run on fixing airports? Guess there will be none to fix if they shut down.

Of course major progress in a large and successful nation requires a strong and smart central gov't. Much central planning of and paying for roads, bridges and such for vehicular traffic happened all along the way. Same with the energy needed to run them. I have no doubts that there have been some subsidies and/or other tax preferences in the mix. Fine with me.

Your options are
(1) Move somewhere else
(2) Promote a socialist program with taxpayers money to make your life better

I live 300 miles north of Detroit. The two nearest airports are 15 miles and 70 miles away and the cost of the flights out of these airports is so prohibitively expensive that we regularly travel out of Detroit instead.
I can get a flight from Detroit to London for $700, cost from one of the regional airports is closer to $1300. Fuel and parking do not cost me that extra $500, add to that there are very limited flights out of these regional airports and honestly any evidence of EAS actually being effective is just not there.

Ending EAS won't stop people flying, we live in rural areas and are used to traveling for services.

No he is not. There is still plenty of access to travel. It might be travel you don't want, but it is travel. Or you could move to where travel is closer, if that is your priority.

He is keeping me from funding an airport that I have no interest in funding. I don't use it, it is not profitable on its own, and I have no choice in the matter. Let it shut down. Just because you "want" something" doesn't mean you get to steal from me to pay for it. And if you wish to keep it afloat, fund it with local taxes, higher costs or donations.

As for the rest of your screed, please show me where people are being denied access to food, clean water and health? Unless you mean "have someone else pay for my food, water and health."

Access to air travel is not a right, nor are cheap vacations to Hawaii. And as mentioned above, trump is not denying access.
I don't know if trump ran on fixing airports, I didn't vote for him (or anyone else), but aside from that the fed guv has no authority to fix, run or build airports.

By now people should realize that Trump's method of "Fixing things" is to shut them down, eliminate funding or completely dismantle the agency.
No more Dept. of Education, no more problems with the education system.
Kick the sick people off health insurance, voila! no more expensive premiums.

Trump is a problem solver and deal maker.

"I'm president and you're not" Donald Trump, March 21st, 2017.

This is all USDOT. Screw subsidizing those roads into sparsely populated farmlands. The farmer should have started his farm in urban lands.
