...it appears that a deal will not be reached:

Question is..will they hold a vote today and take the hit in order to deal a blow to Trump--or will they cancel the vote..and try to 'save face' by spinning wildly?

I am sure Trump won't care because he has a tee time to keep in Florida.

Vote's at 3:30.

Looks like a no now, but stranger things have happened. Look who's in the Oval Office...

Speaking of which, Comey's in the WH as we speak. Wonder why.

Trump needs to get Rand on the phone and get the ball rolling on a new plan. Rand also needs to understand to not expect a single vote or any cooperation from the dems.

Big mistake going all in with paul Ryan and tackling this complicated issue first of all issues.

He is probably checking the WH microwaves and toasters for bugs.

Probably for the best. This bill made no one happy. Drop it and on to tax cuts.

He can let Obamacare degenerate further and then just do an outright repeal.

I don't know why they are in such a mad rush to get this done now when it is clearly not ready AND I would ask those career senators What have you been doing all these years when you vowed to repeal Obamacare??

Obviously they didn't think Trump had a chance of winning the WH.

I say back off, take care of more important things like our security and job creation then go back to the health plan and make it better so it works for more people at more affordable premiums.

Maybe...but here's the thing..in many states...the ACA works..in some it does not....it appears that the Red states suffer more..maybe it's a combination of outright obstructionism on the part of the States..many of whom deliberately refused to fund the programs designed to offset the risk for insurers..and high-risk pools that are too large. Add to that large numbers of healthy people who choose not to participate---and the ACA is dead.

So..the ACA will implode...in those states where Trump and Republican support is strongest.

The Blues states..and those who tried to make the ACA work--just need to tweek it a bit...somehow incentivize lower rates and deductibles..and they will do OK.
