We already have to pay for the medical bills of the millions of illegal immigrants who pay no taxes. That would seem like the best place to start right? How expensive is a child birth? How many illegals had children last year? How many illegals had injuries last year? How many went to the er for a runny nose?
Trump has promised to take care of the illegals. Not worried about them moving forward.

All men would have to be lumped into one plan, as they have prostates. Women do not have prostates so they get lumped into another plan. What is so complicated about this? If a woman doesn't have a prostate, she should not be forced by law to pay for prostate exams she cannot possibly use.

It is essential. The point of Obamacare was to get everyone paying something either premiums or a penalty. That way those who do get treated without insurance, are still at least paying a penalty which is better than paying nothing.

This country is far from a patriarchy because women hold positions of power. You can thank the patriarchy for allowing this.

If I have to pay for my own condoms, vasectomies, etc... then women can pay for their own birth control, abortions and whatever.

I didn't have insurance last year. I went to the med stop and paid cash. They even knocked 40% off because I paid cash. Then when i got my prescription, i paid cash. I got a bill in the mail for a lab report. I called them and they offered a 50% discount if I paid it all at once. I put it only my credit card.

So why should I face a penalty for pulling my own weight?

Now if I had health insurance, I would have to pay $500 a month. Then the deductible is $5000. So I have to pay out the nose for a plan AND pay for my medical bills out of pocket.

You can't count on always being able to score discounts. And even if you do get the bill cut in half, if your bill to patch you up from a bad auto accident is then 'only' $300K, that is still going to ruin the vast majority of people.

Yes. Unfortunately that is where we are at until we get a single payer system. You have the Haves and the Have Not's when it comes to insurance these days. Anyone working for the public sector is in the Have's category. Most everyone else is in the Have Not's. Currently we are lucky enough to be in the Have's because my wife is a teacher. My work plan would have us paying $1200 a month for insurance for our family that is still not even as good the insurance through my wife's teaching job where we pay only $300 per month.
