I was hoping it was. Putin is about as jack booted as they come. Seems like any journalist that criticizes Putin ends up dead. But that isn't my point. My point is that Trump is operating like some kind of bully in this case.

That, unfortunately, is a sign of narcissistic-personality-disorder. Anyone behaving like that would be known as a narcissist. Why anyone would be so enamored to have that as the President is something of question.

Nope---it's refreshing having a non-career-politician in charge.
Another poster said that only 5 countries have been paying their fair share of the bill.
If that is indeed the case, then it's time for the other 23 to pay up.

Defense of their borders, ensuring flow of trade (particularly in oil) protecting capital investments, security of their citizens in "hot" areas, up to and including evacuation of those people. When I say capital investments that's including things like mining interests and the flow of the raw materials gained thereby. There's always something more behind any "humanitarian and/or peacekeeping" mission than the welfare of the local population, and often enough those things are of interest to European nations. Yet they are content enough to have US resources used to protect those things.

We spend far too much being the Navy's slogan. "A global force for good". It's far past time for us to look to the good of our own. Yet when domestic issues come into play, it's always about funding. Funding we don't seem to have a problem finding to drop in Europe, Africa, Asia and the ME. Wheher by use of our military or in "foreign aid".

we get much more out of it than anyone on earth. frankly there is far too little education in this country on topics such as this.

we win when get to direct bodies like the UN and NATO . sure it costs some money, but we get so much out of it that it is cents on the dollar.

Mosr Americans dont seem to have the slightest clue about international politics. they really think we dont need partners. they don't understand either you buy blankets or bullets even as a basic premise.

If so, they need to either just pay their bill or negotiate a settlement.

He doesn't, but have you not noticed this has been his MO? He wanted to "bill" Mexico too.
