Bush passed a law to extend the existing fencing on the southern border by 700 miles in 2006 with bipartisan support. Many eminent domain lawsuits (especially in Texas) have dragged on for over a decade. To date, less than 36 miles of the 700 miles of double layer fencing originally approved was completed.

Texans love their land and will resist Trump and his wall too...What are the odds Trump's wall will ever come to fruition? Is this just another empty campaign promise that sounded good on the campaign trail that is going nowhere fast?
