What have people lost over the years and decades. Companies make astronomical profits in the world of today, they don't count their money in millions; It's now counted in 100's of millions, billions and even 10's of billions.
We have tech companies selling one to the other for billions, and all are driven mainly by using the general public as the products, so advertisers can target them.
What do the people get? No more pensions programs, any and all efforts to bust up unions and fight off any idea of a Union. No more paid medical, only higher and higher co-pays. Stagnant wages, and all the money shuffled to "degree riders" who bought a "get a job certificate for a university". The skill level has fallen and now, because of the greed of University, they launched a campaign decades ago to discredit the Vocational and Technical Certifications, they practically abolished the AA degree and pushed hard to make sure less of the course were transferable. AND WE ACCEPTED IT WITHOUT A WORD.
Ronald Reagan stripped and ripped the State University System and severely damaged community colleges back in the late 70's in California and during the 1980's he did it nation wide. Setting the Stage for "University cost hikes to go through the roof". No longer is it about people going because they have a particular passion for a particular field.. It is now, "go for what pays the most, whether one has interest in it or not", and during the course its' "jump, switch and change the major, and forget about a plan, "simply accumulate Units" and pay your money, get your "get a job certificates" and run out in the world expecting a windfall profit making position.
We have people still riding on old 1960's and 1970's degree, and likely a few who rode as far as they could go until age took a toll, while they rode the 1950's degrees and held back many in the process. Even today, there are many who have the 1970's degree and ride them like its a old quarter horse trying to run a mile and half, track. Yet we wonder why we have industrial failure, business stagnation, and even now, we have people who are still fighting against regulations.
We have a mass of people who once gained skills during the induction in the military, who built business, but never ceased to fight against regulations that are designed to protect society.
We have a nightmare of collisions. The much hailed Ivy League Degree, where many seem to have been awarded such by the campus party life, and making friends and riding on Trust Funds. They put on a suit and the world of society seems to bow to them, as if they are in the suited attire of a King.
Still the world of industry and business in America is failing, and Greed has become the main theme even moreso today than ever before. They make simple statement which common sense could generate, and they are hailed as some guru, and still industry fails and business rip off people and eventually succumb to the folding over and selling itself off, in whole or parts. Which ever seem to bring the higher profit.
We now have a society who can't change a flat tire, but they can "tweet" and obsess over facebook, pushing pictures and lost in tid bit, slap stick drama. The whole concept of skill level is gone, and the status of ego, about how many people one has following them, has become a fiction promoted by the Advertisers, who lust for more followers, as it means more people to sell advertisements to.
Every company that makes anything has rushed to China to buy parts, and they assemble it and wonder why the Chinese won't buy our exported goods. "Why should or would they", when they know they made the components it is composed of, and they can buy Chinese brands with the exact same parts for a lesser cost.
We over charge American for anything, as if we paid a premium salary to produce, it and no longer do business look to make a 30%-50% or even 75% profit. They now want 300-3000% profit markup or they start whining that business and sales are down. They over-leverage, because banks, insurance companies and the casino known as the stock market, create fictions and fools borrow against fake numbers, and wonder why they can't make it. They first over pay the executives, over stock, and over saturate the market and then the low grade products have a short life span and obsolescence takes over, on non up-gradable products, and we have massive waste. Used to write off and claim losses for tax purposes. the goods are sold to the 'secondary sellers who fill up the "dollar stores with this stuff". It all makes no difference to the Executives, because they'd already been paid, the stock market has fluffed, puffed and drained off and crashed the company, and the people are left, running for one dollar store to the next, repurchasing the same non durable goods, every three months.
Ignorance has become pervasive, Stores like SEARS and JC Penny, whom should have been a leader in quality goods, bought into the cheap goods, and got stuck with outdated over stocked goods and now they are closing multiple stores at a record pace and can't understand why. Even Radio Shack that one started out selling items for the creative mind to build things, began focusing on selling cheap low grade gadgetry as if it was a novelty store, that turned itself into a low budget phone store, and eventually collapse engulfed it.
Whole foods started out, selling high quality produce and natural made food products, and they expanded and began selling things that were carrying labels that does not meet the standards they had become known for, and suddenly now, their over priced products are left on the shelves as people figured out, they were not getting the best of the best, and so, that trend turned around and now Kroger and Brookshires are into the Organic market, the difference is now status and cost, Kroger goes for the every person category, and Brookshires caters to the professional communities.
Truth is ... We don't know what's what?
America now eat's because of people "South of the Border" who are now the mass farmers and they too have been driven to a lesser quality, by the infusion of big money from the West of the Border investor's, who now tell them, "pick it green" spray it with gas and chemicals, and our markets are full of non American grown foods.
We rush out to buy the "latest version of cell tech", and we rally that we've got the newest model, which simply adds a few more games, and more social media apps, and we think we are doing something, more than just wasting time and killing ourselves at the same time. By the obsessive compulsion to even try driving while playing with these gadgets and we wipe out whole families and ultimately ourselves.
We go to work, and people are afraid to make a decision, but they want top dollar for the "facility bought" "get a job certificate" and then boast about what the name on the certificate is, and then we demand more but find we are capable of far less than we advertise ourselves. So, business meets madness, employees are disrespected more than ever before in history, and the spin cycle just repeats itself.
Then, we become so lost, we elect someone to office, simply because of our mistaking belligerence to think its strength and the level of generalized stupidity has become astronomical. What we now see is we have accepted international Treason as a general format, as long as we can find ways to infuse illicit money into the hands of the wealthy, they collude the issue until the general public accepts it, at the expense of diminishing the governance of this nation. We are the Laughing Stock Minion's of the World, while other nations move on, focusing on actual skill development, not wasting young people time, with worthless class for the sake of profit, they actually invest to teach their people as efficient as they can, and they respect vocation and technical training and know that OJT is the best way to develop a lasting pool of qualify skilled labor, until they are now the best mass producers of products and gadgetry.
We have corporations "lying" saying they have "high level jobs they can't fill', while they truly seek to import cheap labor to do this work, and offer up the training that is needed once they arrive. But they tell American's they don't do, OJT, and gain we fall for it.
All the so called Radical mind changes of the 1960's got lost in the shuffle of playing classicism in a different format, that mixed racism at an ever different infusion. Until, we devastated the Inner Cities, Built up the Suburbs and now want to move back and engage gentrification and price out the people in the inner cities and how they make a mass escape to the suburbs.
We effectively wiped out the Middle Class, that was once built up because of "union scale jobs', and now employees have no voice, low pay and no upward trajectory, and many are reduced to "clerk level jobs" that have no future and no benefits. We have a young society who is fully demoralized, they now see death as an early option, so they take lives as if its just another activity to engage, others are lost in the maze of madness and see no sense of hope about life, so they intoxicate themselves until they find nothing but physical deterioration which is followed by mental collapse. No longer do people fear jail, they see it as just another phase in being alive, with no future whether in jail or out, so crime does not matter, because its a cut throat game to gain material matter by any means, and if Jail comes in the process, they can then talk about "what they use to have", while they waste away in a "holding pen", that has no concept of reform or re-education. They become the beast against beast as if to become like caged animals that eventually began to feed on each other.
All the while the Wealthy go about flaunting skin and flashing cash, in a perpetual cycle of advertise, buy and sell and trade, until none of them trust each other, nor do they trust themselves. So, they try and appease themselves by every form of diversion the imagination can conjure.
We did it, "the human being".... we ignored and by every means pursued to circumvent the same government that tries to help protect us from ourselves, and then we blame the government and then follow up and choose the worlds greatest swindler to lead the country and dismantle every safety precautions that regulatory systems once established.
We chose the down-fall, and still we are laughing as the nation goes into its own form of death spiral, with a Swindler at the Help, talking about "Make America Great Again",
(THE FICTION OF FICTION) as if he is mindless of the fact, that American
has never been great for a great many of its people. What we've had is a system of bias, bigotry, racism, greed and collusive madness, that continues to remake itself into divisions of separating the wealthy from the poor, and the many levels of dividing the people on the measure of material matters. That is the delusion of such Fiction being built up Fiction.
We should be trying to make America Whole for All Americans, but that is so far upwards from the foolish concept of Make America Great Again, until people are void of understanding the great value benefit of an "America Whole for All Americans". So.. we spiral down one executive order at a time.... until we may well become a land of barbarians, ruled over by plutocrats, as if to become simply subjects controlled by the wealthy. We chase it and unaware of the face we have given up on the civility of Democracy.
Thus we go on a backward trajectory, and we do so, letting a man function like a dictator, with executive orders, that dismantle our system once pieces at a time. Still we don't know any better than to spin in the drama of the media while the American system is dismantled and made to be a mockery without value or compassion. Money has become the God of the America System. We chose this craziness.... and still we can't open our eyes and mind to see the madness we make.
