I remember the day so vividly. I haven't cried like that since 9/11. What kind of sick person would go after these parents?
Alex Jones followers. There are a few right here on this thread. Sick is a rather benign description of the despicable mindset it takes to attack grieving parents. I'd use other words, but it would probably get me an infraction.

I personally know some of these sickos.
They are truly disgusting and guillible people. Worst thing is most are similar to this woman in AL. Ignorant and unable to think about anything besides what Alex Jones is telling them.
One person in particular I know believes in all of the things that Alex Jones says - that Sandy Hook was fake, the 9/11 Truthers conspiracy, that Obama is a Kenyan Muslim, etc. All sorts of crazy.

What causes someone to believe something like that? Is it that the truth is so horrible, random, evil, whatever that you have to work out some kind of "logic," no matter how farfetched, for yourself?

Generally speaking they have a mild mental illness and feel empowered being *in* on some sort of secret that the rest of the people are blind to. Often popular with people that have had major life difficulties with employment and\or relationships and thus find it comforting that it's not because of them but because of nefarious forces rigging the system against them.
I was appalled to see that this crazy woman is a year younger than I. I went running to a mirror to make sure I've been honest with myself about aging. I don't look young, but hell, I don't look like THAT.
She looks like 100 miles of bad road. Heavy drinker, I'm guessing.
Tell that to the parents whose children have gone missing in the DC area. Thinking bout it, if these people like the Podestas do what they do to children, they wouldn't have a single qualm about grooming and helping some nutjob to go in and shoot up a school.
Remember, Pizzagate has never been debunked despite what they want us to believe. You'd have to have it investigated for that to happen.
What should we call the audience that believes anything reported by the mainstream media - no matter how preposterous?
More thoughtful that someone who blindly believes alex jones and fake news like pizzagate? Because if something seems preposterous, thoughtful people will examine several sources to try to determine the kernel of truth to it. There appear to be no thoughtful people who believe every preposterous thing that alex jones says, as clearly, some of them still believe pizzagate.
