Hmm.... this one helluva "war on terror"... the Bush Administration has going on!

Just incredible. The Mexican military helping drug smugglers... and who knows what else!.... into the United States.

And possibly even more incredible... will be the arguments from the cretin Bush-Bots saying something like..."This isn't Bush's fault... ya know, this all started because of Ted Kennedy's desire to smuggle in cheap tequila and Mexican prostitutes..."

Wink Mexican Military making regular incursions into the U.S.

Well, at least they aren't carrying WMDs with them when they do.

Are they?

The drug smugglers are renting soldiers for protection from harassment by their competitors. Sounds like a business deal to me. I wonder how many people on our side of the border are being paid to protect the drug smugglers from harassment by our law.

How is it different from an oil company effectively hiring our military to invade a country to protect the company's private investment? Sounds like a business deal to me. Except that the smugglers pay the army directly and the oil companies arrange for everybody else to pay for their protection.

IMHO - if they need our army to protect their interests’ let them hire it directly. Let them pay the bill. I am tired of paying for something I do not get. Protecting an oil company does not protect me.

I always like when the OP insults people who dont share the same beliefs...

"cretin Bush-Bots " really classy.

so all this first happened the first day of GWB's first term, never under clinton's watch ?

Yeah, but the grand sham known as the "War on Terra"... wasn't exactly taking place during the Klinton years, was it? Or maybe he was just doing the prep work?

The bottom line is pretty simple: If the gov't was actually concerned about this country's safety, this situation would not be happening. With all the fear tactics and constant rhetoric we've been subjected to about "security" and "protecting the homeland" from Bu$h and his goons, a situation like this happening over and over... is just mind blowing. When, if ever, will some of you people realize that this administration doesn't care one bit about Americans? How much more obvious does it need to get?

Oh well.... But, no worries, you can always deflect away from the issue at hand... by blaming.. oh.. I don't know.. how about Jimmy Carter this time?

This is not a republican vs democrat problem. Does anyone believe that Nancy Pelosi isn't aware that this is happening? How about all of our democrat senators and congressmen? And republicans too. After all, Bush isn't operating in a vacuum.

I think the real question we should be asking is: Why are ALL the polititicians silent on this? How are THEY benefiting from allowing this dismal situation along the border to continue?

Could it be money? How about the promise of millions of Latino votes when illegals are granted clemency? I wonder what kind of deal they (and I mean all the damn politicians) have with Mexico?

While we busy ourselves playing red state vs blue state, the polititians are doing as they please. War on terror? War on ourselves is more likely.

Not all politicians are silent on this, those who speak out against it don't have a "voice" in the media and don't have the support of their party.

There are so many issues that Americans agree on but the label of "Democrat vs. Republican", "Liberal vs. Conservative", and "Red vs. Blue" keep us bickering amongst ourselves while Washington has their way with OUR country.
