Once middle class, she hung on as long as she could. Now she and her two dogs live in a car in Carlsbad - LA Times

Sadly, because of the rents many old people are living in cars with disabilities.

How Much Do Illegals Cost California Taxpayers Each Year? – Godfather Politics

Amazing, how the state of California is so happy that disabled, old ladies are on the streets and should be ignored but that illegals and their children deserve 25 billion a year plus they want to expand to a single-payer health-care program that is just another scheme to give healthcare to millions of illegal immigrants.

Politics is a battleground and most people don't even know there's a war. It's not a matter of stupid laws and regulations, it's deliberate but everyone get's stuck on the idea that they are doing what's right without understanding what's wrong.

Republicans don't care about poor people and democrats don't care about white people. No one cares about old people. At least they are women, if they were old white homeless men it would not be a story.

Democrats hate poor people.

-Dems are behind the importing of massive numbers of unskilled laborers, legal and illegal, to compete with the poor.

-How many poor people are now paying the insurance penalty because they still can't afford insurance? Obamacare was the largest tax on the poor in American history.

-Democrat minumum wage law, health care laws and regulation put businesses out of business, which decreases competition, which is the ONLY way that any of us have anything affordable.

-Leniant laws forthe homeless, illegals, and criminals force poor neighborhoods to bear the burden while they live in their isolated, gated communities.

-Liberal gun laws take away the ability of the poor to defend themselves while criminals still have guns.

etc. etc. etc. California, the quintessential example of liberal social policies, is an unlivable hellhole for any household not making $400,000 a year.

Also, they hate blacks more than can be described. Instead of telling them the truth--that the crushing poverty in their commmunities is due to their own poor behavior --they constantly rationlize black poverty by blathering about racism and promising some vague solution to a nothing problem. It keeps them on the welfare plantation and voting democrat.

We're a bit selective, aren't we.

Correct which is why certain states show a lower average income and a higher poverty rate. Because that's exactly what older people do. They move to lower C.O.L. states and out of large cities.

Better yet. Quit giving $25B/year on illegals so more can be spent on the elderly. Then she would not have to move.
