The Vanishing Republican Party - The New Yorker

And then after the election

Los Angeles Times final map said Clinton winning with 352 electoral votes.

Our final map has Clinton winning with 352 electoral votes. Compare your picks with ours. - LA Times

I just laugh at the liberal media full of private-college educated elites who sit in a cubicle and write fictional stories and have no sense of reality in the real world.

Even the pollsters in my opinion were making mathmatically questionable changes to the polling data.

The only thing vanishing from the republican party is the global establishment. They are getting culled, left and right, since 2006 and the Ron Paul Revolution started the TEA Party.

Responding to schaedenfreude with schaefenfreude is probably not the best strategy. Liberals were arrogant before the election. We are humbled now. Remember that what goes up must come down.

Sadly Ron Paul's ideology of free men, free markets and free trade has been seriously undermined by Trump and his supporters. Trump still better than Hillary.

While I agree there is some merit to this statement, I also agree there is some merit to BentBow's statement.

I never bought into the "GOP is dying" routine.

That said, they really don't seem much like a triumphant juggernaut either.

Totally agree. I did worry that fractures were developing in them. The Tea party just disappeared one day. I should spend some time researching how that came about. The "Freedom Caucus" though is alive and well, and backed by the Koch brothers. They are suddenly very relevant.

Eventually I think these fractures will simply melt away against the larger group they fight. But in the meantime it adds some variation to the data we need to consider while attempt to predict the chaos.

A lesson in why calling the Dem Party vanishing is also premature. We shall see.

All either party has to do is show they actually give a damn about the middle class.
