Intelligence sources said the logs discovered by National Security Council staff suggested Rice’s interest in the NSA materials, some of which included unmasked Americans' identities, appeared to begin last July around the time Trump secured the GOP nomination and accelerated after Trump’s election in November launched a transition that continued through January.

White House logs indicate Susan Rice consumed unmasked intel on Trump associates | Circa News - Learn. Think. Do.

The logs indicate it was a targeted search, with the Trump posse as the main targets for retrieved information and documents. Not incidental as they claimed.
She wasn't rummaging through to find Russian stuff.

Remember when libs were against the Patriot Act?

Hastily passed 45 days after 9/11 in the name of national security, the Patriot Act was the first of many changes to surveillance laws that made it easier for the government to spy on ordinary Americans by expanding the authority to monitor phone and email communications, collect bank and credit reporting records, and track the activity of innocent Americans on the Internet...
Now they're all for spying on and monitoring American citizens. It's a "perfectly normal and legal thing to do", according to the left.

They're pissed about the liklihood of ISPs monitoring their internet browsing, (agreed), but have zero problems with their party spying on any other American citizen. Trump was not President, nor was he even yet nominated when this all started. The Russian story came after the fact to cover for their illegal spying.

"What ever is the mantra of their side" Obama spying on Americans and foreigners alike "The most transparent administration ever". It is quite amazing and the Hypocrisy was why I left the Dems in the 90s.

The leak is illegal.
Who leaked?......someone that knew.
A case of the legal facilitating the illegal.

Seems that was the goal.
