Yes, he loves them so much he wants to cut their department funding by $2 billion.

His golf trips cost taxpayers about 7 times his salary.... each one.

How are Trump's weekend getaways more expensive than Obama's? With Trump, he doesn't have to pay for his lodging by renting out multiple hotel floors for example.

Season tickets to the Detroit Lions?

Per the past 50 years of Lions futility, the notion of someone buying season tickets...

But with the current state of the Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons...the Lions might now be the best ticket in town...whoda thunk....

Trump continues to do as he promised.

In this, he's giving his salary back to the taxpayers.

Trump proposes to cut $2 billion from the national parks budget to pay for the "wall" that he said Mexico was going to pay for, and for more guns and bombs and tax cuts for the wealthy. So I'm sure this $100,000 will make up for it.

Kennedy didn't accept a salary, either.

Now if we could only see some sort of foreign policy strategy from this administration and some outline of the policy for dealing with our allies and adversaries, that would be nice. I'm sure Jared and Ivanka are hard at work on this, since they have a deep foreign policy background.

Unfortunately, his "give back" doesn't come anywhere near close to what he's taking them for.

To put $100K in perspective...

A membership in Mar-a-Lago is $200K. If Trump can sign up eight new members over the next four years, he'll break even on his donated presidential salary.

He'll also pocket money from the federal government with the space at Trump Tower and at Mar-a-Lago leased to the government.

Trump doesn't need the $400K salary...because he's figured out ways to monetize the position...bigly.

Trump is not a draft dodger. A draft dodger is someone who is ordered to report at a certain place and a certain time and does not.

Of course the MSM Pundits are trying hard to find something bad to say about that.

LOL "gives it back to the taxpayers?"

In 2009, President Obama donated $1.4 million to 10 charities. Also, Trump is NOT the first President in history to refuse his salary, but you can pick up a history book. I'm pretty sure JFK donated all of his salary to charity. He just didn't make a big deal of it, but Trump needs the adulation. "Oh, look what I did. Praise me!"

A salary is mandatory and is in the Constitution. Then the POTUS can decide what to do with it. Trump can use this as a write off. He is making millions (maybe billions) off of his position, and so is his family. Does anyone believe the membership to Mar-a-Lago would double had he lost the election? What about the new golf courses he's opened since November, like the one in Dubai? If he canceled just one weekend at his FL "Winter White House" it would save taxpayers millions.

This is merely a distraction.
