I think until the WH releases ALL the info that Nunes was shown in that SCIF that the Ethics committee will not be able to evaluate what Nunes might or might not have actually done that was unethical...
And the WH guys who were involved in trying to plant "false info" w/Nunes that Obama MIGHT have been involved in surveillance of Trump/campaign don't want to reveal anything really because that will blow back on them...
Actually, according to the law, the AG appoints the Spec Prosecutor. However, Sessions recused himself, so it would be the Asst AG.

All this could have been avoided if enough people in particular states didn't vote for Agent Orange.

Could Nunes' run around been a Bannon scheme?

I think those in the House and Senate need to do their jobs.

If they can't, then we turn to a special prosecutor. It will be difficult to find a neutral party, but surely there is someone.

It's excellent comedy.

In addition to being rank amateurs, they're very slow learners.

Glad Nunes is gone, he was joined at the hip to Trump and was biased as Hell.
And like tRump, Bannon, Kushner and the rest of the clown car, Nunes is a hyperpartisan insider promoted well beyond his level of competency.

His questions were pretty bad at the Comey hearing. I didn't realize he was on the transition team as well though...

[quote=katzpaw;47754783]Wow, his partisan bias shines through. Nunes should never have been in charge of the "impartial" investigation. Totally in the tank for Trump.

Exactly! His ass should have been jailed as soon as he ran to the press and Trump!

The House Ethics Committee is investigating allegations that Nunes may have made unauthorized disclosures of classified information. The full 10-member committee is investigating the allegations, a departure from the usual procedure of having a smaller subcommittee handle a probe, and an indication of the seriousness of the claims. Two ethics watchdog groups filed complaints about Nunes.
Democracy 21 and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington say Nunes disclosed classified information, which violates House ethics rules. The groups say Nunes publicly disclosed information he learned by viewing classified material. Two of the four people who signed the March 28 letter alleging ethics violations served as White House counsels in Republican and Democratic administrations.
House intelligence chair Nunes stepping aside from Russia probe

As we have seen, the "leaks" originate right with Trump's circle!

Trey Gowdy is now one of the three republicans that will be overseeing the investigation. I think the Nunes thing is about to backfire in a big way. Be careful what you complain and cry about.
