Hardly. Obama sat on his hands and did nothing. Bush did a full invasion. Trump did a calculated strike not using any manned aircraft but missiles. Huge differences.

He's not the first President to order military action without Congress so it's not a given Trump needed Congressional approval, but if the OP could please explain:
  • President Bill Clinton in 1999 bombing Kosovo and
  • Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama bombing Libya in 2011.
Just for starters. Or is this more selective outrage?
It's more selective outrage.

There's so much of it from the libs these days.

Another one for the ignore feature..
You said it would be over if Obama had bombed the airfield in 2013, so I asked you if it is over now that we bombed it in 2017.

Instead of answering you go hide behind the ignore list.

Is it over now?

That is part of the problem. Many of his supporters hoped he would be different than Obama or Bush. That he would keep us OUT of Middle East civil wars. That he would not sacrifice American lives. That he would put Americans first.

Obama didn't ask for permission from Congress to do something very similar in 2013?

Trump did the right thing.

Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Assad now know that the wimp Obama is gone and America is back.

Trump is also getting ready to bomb Iran and North Korea.

"Nation building" and "bringing democracy" to these countries is not on the Trump agenda.

They're just going to be put in their place -- where they belong.

Blowback is gonna be a b*tch.
That's a cue to sleeper cells everywhere to spring into action now. Americans everywhere will be a target, and the public beheading of Western people will begin again.

I'm somewhat neutral on this air strike--waiting for the fallout or repercussions. As opposed to Trump, I don't think I know more than the generals.

But I still find it massively hypocritical and ironic listening to Trump phonily waxing on and on about God, and how awful it is that these poor Syrian women and children are being subjected to this treatment, while simultaneously and strenuously banning them refuge in the US.

Unless he has plans to try and remove Assad (which is highly doubtful), then this is all a rather meaningless gesture, despite all the praise from the hawks and pundits regarding 'US strength.'

Assad will continue to make their lives a living hell and/or kill them, just not with gas.

You'll have to refresh my memory if you want to. I remember Obama drawing a red line and when it was crossed, did nothing.
