Obama was a dumbass for doing the red line business. But he was wise in not following through on his mistake.
Obama waged 7 wars and nothing was resolved. No one trusted or feared Obama. I'd rather send a message and get results than wage 7 wars and get no positive results.
I'm curious, what '7 wars' do you mean? Are you including drone action?
If the goal was to eliminate Syrian air power, then the mission failed.
Trump leaked the attack to his Russian puppet masters and they told the Syrians to get out.
Again, you're still not getting it but we'll try one more time. Nothing was leaked to anyone. Some members of Congress were told in advance as well as several world leaders including Putin. Trump didn't want to kill a bunch of Russians or any people for that matter. He gave them time to evacuate so that wouldn't happen. The goal was to tell Assad that chemical weapons are not an option to be used. The consequences this time was having about a dozen military jets destroyed and an air base severely damaged.
I suppose if you do get it, your not admitting it. Regardless, there's no more point trying to explain this to you. You're too hell bent on crucifying Trump, no matter what he says or does.

If destruction of the Syrian Air Force was the goal we know the playbook. The missiles would have went after the air defenses and now the USAF and Navy fighters would start the bombing and using the F-22s to knock down any Syrian plane that managed to get into the air.
I do not think it was the goal either. The military would have taken a much different approach if that had been the goal.
Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, said the strikes show that Trump is “prepared to take decisive action to respond to heinous acts”.
In other words it was to send a message.
