Isn't it widely accepted that this was to send a warning message, not to actually kill? So I'm not sure why there's surprise or disappointment that there wasn't more damage... If he specifically wanted to do damage, he would've chosen a bigger base to hit, not this basic one. He chose it for symbolism because it's where the chem attack came from. Like slapping a child's hand away.
It was measured, limited, and appropriate.

No that's not what you said, you said it was a failed attack, a destroyed airfield was not enough - you wanted Syria wiped off the map I assume - so for you it's one extreme or another - either do nothing or destroy a nation.

This is his second military knee-jerk grandstanding effort. The first got a bunch of civilians including an American citizen and a Navy Seal killed and this one put a half dozen potholes in a runway in the middle of nowhere. I can't take the winning!
