I'm sure there are very wealthy people who leave California but the fact is that most of the people who are leaving are far from rich, in fact they could hardly be described as middle class:

"...rather, of those who left during the latest years for which statistics exist, the vast majority earned less than $30,000 per year. A net total of 469,000 of those leaving possessed no college degree. Given the prevailing levels of rents and home prices in California, it’s easy to see their financial motive in leaving for far lower-priced states like Texas, Nevada, Oregon and Arizona.

But as lower-income residents left there was a net increase of 52,700 residents from other states making more than $50,000 per year who do have at least a bachelor’s degree. The figures come from a Beacon Economics study released this spring. "

Exactly. The liberals who run California, and the liberals who elect California's government, hate the poor and working class.

The sad part is that these poor and working class Californians are voting against their best interest by voting Democrat, but that's their own fault. There is no cure for stupidity unfortunately.

Nevada has clean air because they require vehicles to pass a smog check. If not, then maintenance must be performed in order to be passed.

Making up excuses.

People move to California because it's DESIRABLE. Climate, economy, culture, politics, family, or a combination thereof. Why else would the COL (mostly high housing prices) be where it's at. Seems like you don't understand supply and demand.

Imagine what would be the situation if CA blocked off it's borders for the past 2 decades and told everyone who wanted to come to get out. You think the cities would be the way they are now?

Blame the free market and capitalism. You're seeing the effects of higher income folks moving in displacing lower income folks. Surprise surprise.
Look no further than ground zero: San Francisco/Bay Area.

Are you seriously comparing a state of 3M versus 40M to justify policies?

Yes, why would there be so many homeless located in the best area for weather in the world?

Nothing more hilarious than butt-hurt Californian leaving the state with his or her temper tantrums.

My sister just closed on a 1.2 million 1000sq ft town home in SF. When you walk down the street there are homeless roaming, panhandling, and a section 8 project across the street from her. It seems like in CA you can either be very well off or dirt poor. There did not seem like much middle ground for average working people. When you say CA close off it's boarders do you mean from illegal immigrants or American citizens? I wonder what CA would look like without 2 decades worth of mass illegal immigration.

Stuff like this causes people to flee California.
