This is like the deaths from alcohol versus deaths from marijuana argument. Yes, people get killed all the time by drunk drivers, doesn't mean I want the truck driver speeding down the highway next to me high on marijuana. Something doesn't cease to be dangerous simply because something else is more dangerous.
FYI, I don't think transsexuals are dangerous, I just don't want to see anyone's penis but my husband's.
When are you going to see that in a public restroom? Do you make it a point to look under stall doors? Talk about creepy.
But a guy dressing in drag is not a trans person. That is a pervy guy trying to masquerade as a woman to gain entry.

That's two, I doubt my city is just out of the ballpark freaky. The incident at the gym was never covered by any media entity, I would venture to guess that is the new normal reaction.
Was that also a trans person, or a pervert biological male? There's a difference.
I mean, I don't think that anyone who just "identifies" as a gender should go and use whatever bathroom they please. But think about the trans people who are trasitioning or have transitioned.
Which bathroom or lockerrom should the individual below use?
What about this individual?
AGAIN: Transpeople with genitalia that doesn't match what is expected in a male or female bathroom should not just wave it around, and some discretion is appreciated I'm sure.... but we have to live in the real world. And in the real world there just isn't an epidemic of transpeople causing problems in bathrooms and lockerrooms.
[For example, I am pretty sure there's a trans-man that changes in the male lockerroom at the gym. But he does not take off his underwear in front of everyone. If he were in a ladies lockerroom I would imagine the women would be WAY more uncomfortable because he otherwise looks like and talks like a dude]

Oh people who criticize liberal thinking on homosexual issues are gay??? thats what you are saying?
I'm not scared of homosexuals. I just think its ridiculous how the left try's to normalize something that is not and has no scientific data to back it up when as a group they use science as the last word.
I'm just saying people who HATE gay people are usually gay themselves, and these people will be among the republicans (and these gay people who attack other gay people are truly insane.)
And this whole issue is ridiculous. Why not just find a solution to this problem and implement it, and then we can all stop talking about transsexual children and bathrooms, and instead talk about America's truly endangering problems, like jobs, deficits, and healthcare.
But when has Washington ever come to a proper solution to any problem? So I guess we will all sit around talking about transsexuals and bathrooms (when this issue has most likely never effected a single person in this thread.)
And I apologize for any stupid or ungentlemanlike things I said in this thread, I did not do it intentionally.
One thing does not have to do with another, that is where the OP fails. I have a choice on whether or not to have my children attend a church or church activities, the choice when it comes to a school is much more limited. Locker rooms and showers, boys feeling like "girls" invading those spaces, is nothing like church activities.
In the case of the transgenders, we know they have a mental health issue which mean that we can prevent that. With the clergy, it become more difficult to know who the pervs are. When we can prevent it knowing someone has a mental health issue, it should be prevented.
And, I am a woman. How does it feel to be a woman? It doesn't "feel", it just is my biology. Someone needs to get that message to those men who "feel" like a woman.
Transgenders have a set of criteria that diagnoses their "issue" rather than simply "feeling" like a woman. You don't "feel", you just are or are not and the fact that they cannot get that spells trouble.
Bathrooms were based on BIOLOGICAL gender which cannot be changed no matter what surgery or medications are taken. Keep them out!
Most people do not attend church, and I doubt that if they knew the clery had sexual deviances that most would continue attending a particular church.
Wow, I believe YOU have a Mental Health Issue.
Please return to the bible you crawled out from under STAT!!

In one month, 21 clergy were arrested for child porn, child murder, rape and statutory rape.
Yet bathrooms require special legislation to keep children safe.
Transgender folk with bad intentions would have much better access to prey in a house of prayer. Dressing as a woman, taking expensive hormone treatments, therapy and surgery is a long way to go to bamboozle the innocent. Especially when you can just go to church.
Feel free to share this month's rash of bathroom attacks where transgender people are assaulting women and children, for balance.
Those were all dead links - not that I doubt any of the claims.
Dead links because the thread is 4 years old.
