Syria is threatening major consequences if we bomb them more. Russia and US tensions are higher. The NK is threatening the US and launching ballistic missiles towards Japan. The US is moving Naval ships to the Korean peninsula.

Seems like a major disaster is brewing.
I wouldn't worry about Syria. Too small time. They deliberately kill people who can't fight back. North Korea, that guy is nutty, but I'm not sure their might matches their bluster.

A major disaster is always "brewing". After WWII once the world superpowers became highly militarized with weapons of mass destruction, we've always been a few minutes from midnight as the FAS likes to describe it.

The only aspect that is new is that we now have irrational players in the mix, namely Islamic extremists like ISIS and Al Qaeda and our fat little friend in North Korea. Unlike our rational adversaries Russia and China, they are quite willing to start WW III. There is a potential advantage for them to do so; what have they got to lose? Remember, these enemies don't value human life in the same way that we do in the West. Either of them would surely be willing to deploy a nuke somewhere just to see what happens next.

That's the real question, what WILL happen next when we have someone in the White House who doesn't seem to have any brake between his thoughts and his mouth or his thumbs? Just a matter of when, not if, that a US President will be faced with these grave choices. The only encouraging sign is that Trump seems to be willing to listen to McMaster. Removing Bannon from the NSC was an absolute necessity and a good first step.

I am pretty sure that a full blown WWIII is not going to happen but rather just a continuation of these lower intensity Geopolitical Regional type conflicts being the norm.

In fact would say we are headed towards another Cold War era type conflict(s) seems to be more realistic IMO.

The elites and 1% have been building underground bunkers and shelters like crazy, so maybe they have something planned. In the event of nuclear war, just head for the Denver Airport and fight your way underground.

If there was a one-world government, who would they be going to war against?
