Came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what Trump does. He could order the EPA to dump radioactive waste into everyone's backyard, and his hardcore supporters will cheer it on if it pissed liberals off, even if their own backyard is contaminated
they will stop supporting them, but it takes time.
before a person changes their mind they first need a new narrative that alleviates them of responsibility for making a poor choice.
it is one of those soft science things, but the consensus seems to be that the best way for people to get there is just to help them find it.
We can see how the Right's opinion on Healthcare has changed in just a few years, as one by one people learn that there is no such thing as FREE MARKET healthcare insurance anywhere in the industrialized world. And when they learn that the service levels and life saving ability is about the same but just less than half the cost and you get cover from conception to burial they start to see the sense.
But it takes time , facts and allowing people to make up their own mind about it.

There is NO SOCIALISM in the US. Socialism died in 1992 only Cuba is left that fits the classic socialist model! The US doesn't even come close, not by miles and miles! The ACA is no excuse at all to get all poisonous at everyone who isn't a right-winger. I mean, God forbid we let poor rural whites get hosed by insurance companies, or dumped by them altogether

Statistics easily show, Americans are stupid. The least educated out of all the industrialized nations (proven by the science-denial BS that keeps popping up), no effort to even get educated nor even fund education. Now we're even talking about deliberately cutting scientific research and pell grants, etc..? I mean how much more stupid can we get.
