Obama didn't.

Obama's excuse -- reasons of National Security -- was lame.

The Obama administration began releasing visitor logs in September 2009 after media and public interest groups had for years sought to learn who had access to the Oval Office and other West Wing haunts. Records from before that time had not been released, and the court's ruling means presidents can revert to that policy.
You realize you just contradicted yourself, right? First you claim twice that he never made the visitor log public record & then you finish by quoting that he started making the logs public in 2009, which is when he started his presidency. Wow.

The Trump Administration will not disclose logs of those who visit the White House complex, breaking with his predecessor, the White House announced Friday.

The decision, after nearly three months of speculation about the fate of the records, marks a dramatic from the Obama Administration’s voluntary disclosure of more than 6 million records during his presidency. The U.S. Secret Service maintains the logs, formally known as the Workers and Visitors Entry System, for the purpose of determining who can access to the 18-acre complex.

So much for the WH being the people's house.

They were made public in September 2009, eight months after taking office.

Republicans hate this for obvious reasons. How would their crony back room deals get done if we had a transparent government.

You stated it was when he started his presidency which is untrue, it was 8 months after starting his presidency. Not that you will admit it. Fact is, even if trump released the logs in August, it would be sooner in his presidency than obama.

Oh, ok. But then you can admit that the poster I was responding to was completely wrong then, yes?

Okay so 9 months in Obama changes from private logs to public logs....but we are still not suppose to say anything about Trump making the logs private because Obama had them private at one time.

WHAT? I don't get this logic.
