" A 5-year-old child has died after he sustained head injuries at a popular Atlanta tourist location Friday afternoon."

How does this happen?

At the very least, there should be an emergency stop button for something like this.

I probably agree with you, but it would be nice to see a link.

Also, I am not sure how this is political, or even controversial.

Thanks for the link. That is heartbreaking. It sounds like they need to find a way to child-proof this space.

Very sad, but nothing is child-proof. Today by Noon, a child will drown while swimming.
There's only so much we can do to to bubble wrap our lives.

I see kids at the airport all the time riding the luggage carousel while oblivious parents stand nearby chatting or just ignoring.

My five year-old never would have been in the position to have been injured in this way.

Yes, I am absolutely blaming the parents.

Attentive parenting is the best form of "child-proofing" anything.

Really?

I have never seen that. My child wouldn't have even asked to do that.

Sad, it's not like it's a fast spinning restaurant. Can't blame the parents, how many times has such an incident happened like this? I expect a lawsuit for sure.

Just a tragic freak accident. And as such, improved safety measures will be put in place.
