That's the result of a culture established by Roger "Jabba the Hutt" Ailes.

Those viewers aren't going anywhere. They can have a goat lip sync a rant and they'll watch. Sad!
That's what I'm saying, and if this can happen to Roger Ailes, why it can't happen to Bill O'Reilly, is he above this happening to him. I mean he paid out money to settle, did he not do that.

I was just thinking back to when his Lincoln book came out and all the historical experts said it was full of inaccuracies. Thought they might part ways with him then.

Luckily it didn't work with Trump and the Clinton campaign ended up looking embarrassed
Luckily Trump was willing to get into the sandpit with the leftists and give it back to them twice as hard as he got it. But, O'Reilly, a TV personality whose employment will be driven by ratings and for whom negative attention isn't welcome, this is a different story.

Remember his feud with George Will on his book about Reagan? Will just excoriated the accuracy of his book and Bill O went off on Mr. Will and Bill cried like a baby.

I don't feel sorry for O'Reilly at all, he's done quite well financially for himself over his lifetime and he could disappear on some remote island until he dies and most people probably won't miss him at all!

It's kind of like when Micheal Jackson reportedly paid off up to 20 victims almost $200 million. I'm sure all those allegations must have been false, but it's so much easier to throw money at the situation, make it all go away and have them sign non-disclosure agreements, when you're supposedly innocent!

Me too. I watched a few minutes on a couple of occasions, and that guy is a total pompous ass! Surely there is someone better out there. I have never understood how he has such high ratings for cable news.
