Matthew Slater was mentioned and was there. Amendola was mentioned but not there.

Long snapper Joe Cardona, a US Naval Academy graduate and current officer in the US Navy Reserve (Newport, RI), wore his Navy dress uniform and was also mentioned by Trump.

Tom Brady was not there and he was not referenced by Trump. Some in the New England sports media were speculating that Brady, protective of his brand, never intended to go to the WH despite his friendship with Trump. His parents have been in Boston for the last week and there have been no public reports of changes in his mother's condition. It was the feeling be these media that Brady strung everyone along indicating that he would go but ultimately had pre-planned to use personal reasons at the last moment. Brady is very aware of the toxicity of Trump, especially in New England, and has tried to walk a tightrope during the last year. He has continued to say that Trump is a friend but has backed away from any political connections such as an endorsement or support for his policies. His wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, has however made several tweets that have opposed Trump and his policies.

Yeah, this was silly and I dislike both Brady and Trump. I don't know if it is a fake outrage or not, just stupid.

I actually agree with you. After reading and hearing more today I tend to fall on the side of "protecting his brand".
