I'm a con. He should release his taxes, and his excuses are flimsy, but it doesn't really matter much to me. Obviously he's paid his legally required taxes, so conflict of interest is the only unknown. And unfortunately most politicians capitalize on holding high office. I care about substantial policy issues and laws, not so much personal matters for any candidate. Frankly I'm beyond tired of all the personal attacks by the left and the right, most of them are petty and irrelevant.

The longer Trump hides, the more people will distrust him.

On the positive side, there are several states that are passing laws that candidates who want to run on the ballot, must be totally transparent and release their tax returns, so the next time a corrupt businessperson wants to run for office, they will not be on the ballot in some states.

He did, he paid $38 million in taxes in 2005. Didn't you hear Rachael Maddow screaming for joy? White House: Trump paid $38 million in income tax in 2005 - CNNPolitics.com

Why do you want him to release more taxes is the question. I don't think libs will be happy, ever. He could bleed green blood and you'd still be unhappy. You're just unhappy he's president. You're only searching for a way to get rid of him. You just can't let this guy be president, you should just face facts.

He made $150 million and paid $38 million in taxes. I think he did his part helping the government dept.

And by the way, he isn't taking a salary while he's in the White House. He is donating his income. What an *******, right? Donating his money like that, what a bad dude. lol

Yeah, forbidding a candidate a place on the ballot will do a lot to restore trust in the electoral process. It will also be thrown out.

And other years, he paid no taxes and lied about the value of his real estate to evade NY taxes.

First, how do you know he is donating his income? Because he says so? Lol. He's a proven liar.

Second, even if he did, $400k is a drop in the bucket of the income he and his self-dealing, self-promoting family is making off of the office of president, and of what the taxpayers are paying to keep him and his family in their preferred upscale lifestyle of travel and multiple homes.

Have you looked at the mandatory Financial Disclosure that was required or is it too hard?

Not necessarily. That is for the courts to decide. Just like Trump's muslim ban.

There are 25 states now proposing or passing legislation. The majority of the country is in favor of transparency, and that Trump should release his returns. If he has conducted his business in an aboveboard manner, he would have no problems. But he has probably transacted business similarly to the way he ran his Trump U. scam.
