A San Fransisco study ( paid?) indicates that Americans should do more ( article highlights Americans at fault vs. Open sewer pipes in China).

After the first paragraph guilt trip, the cause of fleeing California residents is due to rising sea levels. We're talking 6 feet by 2100. Which means we should see at least a foot by 2025.

The source article says that all low lying coastal areas are affected by SLR (rising sea levelss) - including the Pacific, Gulf, & Atlantic coasts.
Of course SFGate will focus on the impact in San Francisco, Texas and Louisiana media will focus on the Gulf coast, and Florida media will focus on the impact on Florida.

Seattle has steeper banks and sits higher than downtown San Francisco. Low lying San Francisco Bay communities will be more affected by SLR. THE SF area has more more low-lying land that will be affected sooner by SLR.

"Alarmist" Comedy posts - again?
Haven't their dire predictions from the 1970s onward failed to manifest?

The Nightmare Scenario for Florida’s Coastal Homeowners
Demand and financing could collapse before the sea consumes a single house.

"The impact is already being felt in South Florida. Tidal flooding now predictably drenches inland streets, even when the sun is out, thanks to the region’s porous limestone bedrock. Saltwater is creeping into the drinking water supply. The area’s drainage canals rely on gravity; as oceans rise, the water utility has had to install giant pumps to push water out to the ocean.
