Your perception isn't quite as keen as you think...

#1. I may or may not be a boomer depending on the dates you use. Some lists make me a late late boomer other's make me an early Gen X'er. I associate more with Gen X.

#2. I'm in no way a "guy." Bless your heart.........

it is not by chance Fox news came about.
The median age of FOX viewers is 68. That means half are older. The oldest Boomer is 71 as of today.

We'll have progress when millennials start taking responsibility for their own actions and stop blaming everyone else for their problems.

This is about 4 years old, but attached is an interesting study from Pew Research that makes the case that rather than a generation's dominant political characteristics growing more conservative with age, the political identity of the majority of people is established by the politics prevalent in their formative years. Once those patterns are established, most stay true to that political philosophy.

Quote:
On an individual level, of course, many people’s political views evolve over the course of their lives. But academic research indicates not only that generations have distinct political identities, but that most people’s basic outlooks and orientations are set fairly early on in life. As one famous longitudinal study of Bennington College women put it, “through late childhood and early adolescence, attitudes are relatively malleable…with the potential for dramatic change possible in late adolescence or early adulthood. [b]ut greater stability sets in at some early point, and attitudes tend to be increasingly persistent as people age.”

Maybe someone should try to figure out why these people take drugs--get to the root of it, because it's not normal. There's no excuse for anyone to take drugs and they all know they will become addicted. Everyone knows that. They need to not get on drugs in the first place--just like previous generations.
Do you feel the same way regarding alcohol, and all the drugs drs like to hand out like candy? As well as tobacco to a lesser extent?
