Donald Trump plans to strip all funding from a State Department bureau that promotes the rights of women around the world, it has emerged.

Oxfam America led criticism of the move, saying said cutting funds for the Office of Global Women’s Issues would have “dire consequences for millions of people, as well as our global standing”.

Documents first leaked to Foreign Policy showed plans to reduce the office’s 2016 budget of $8.25 million (£6.43 million) to zero in 2018, though the President’s budget will still have to make it past Congress.

“It’s clear that women’s empowerment and gender equality are on the chopping block in this budget,” Oxfam vice president for policy, Paul O’Brien, said.

Real conservatives wouldn't put up with half the crap they try to do. They don't believe in small government, they believe in a government that stays outta their way while they skull f the middle class into poverty, ravage the environment for profit, and roll back our nation to the Great Depression. When they wanna outlaw a plant or limit a woman's right to control her own body or start a war with another nation, they're all for big government.

They don't like government protecting their prey or trimming their claws, that's all it is.
There are legitimate discussions to be had about the merits of conservative government versus a liberal one, and I say that as a liberal. Problem is most modern day conservatives are not interested in that discussion and they only call themselves conservative because it's the opposite of liberal, who they don't like so therefore they must be opposite to.

Simple question, how much does the State Department spend on men's rights?

"Office of Global Women's Issues"

Gimme a break. It should not have existed in the Department of State in the first place. There will be no "dire consequences" if it simply disappears.

Well, this kind of negates whatever Ivanka was trying to promote in Germany. No wonder the audience boo'd her. Women's Rights is secondary to the Trump administration.

Wonder how Ivanka feels about her father's undermining Women's rights in the USA??? ( Defunding Planned Parenthood) and then THIS.. USA will NO longer defend women's RIGHT around the WORLD??

This will no doubt cause a lot of distrust and skepticism when looking at Trump and his words for the rest of his Presidency. He only likes one thing.. PROFIT ( especially in his own/Family pockets) ..however.. Constitution will come back to BITE his HuuuGE BUTT.... Emollient Clause is clear.. I'm looking into my 8-Ball.. I foresee an Impeachment in the Future

The "I'm unemployed because of affirmative action" crowd has arrived. As usual in any post about women's rights.
