Politicians should quit taking advantage of benefits and start working for their salarys. I'm sure if they didn't have these cadillac insurance plans they would have some skin in the game.
It's just more of the same crap that's been going on for years. Politicians are special. Just ask them.....
Republican legislators want to keep popular Obamacare provisions for themselves and their staff. House Republicans appear to have included a provision that exempts Members of Congress and their staff from their latest health care plan. Republicans exempt their own insurance from their latest health care proposal
And as always...the American people will sit on their butts and allow them to get away with this!

You do know that it was part of the ACA that Congressmebers and staff had to buy health insurance on the exchanges, just like their constituents? That was a Republican initiative, intended to keep Democrats from voting for it. And yet, they did.
Your "both sides are bad, so Republicans should be forgiven anything" argument will not fly on this one.
They never were forced to take Obamacare. Neither party wanted anything to do with it.
100% untrue. The Republicans had that provision added, thinking that it would keep the ACA from passing. The Democrats shrugged and voted for it anyway.
Dude, we can look these things up on the Internet.
This is what 'drain the swam' was suppose to impact. We were suppose to get rid of those guys that continually make choices for themselves, their donors and forget who their true constituents are (not just the folks who voted for them but all of the citizens in their districts).
No swamp was drained......so we will have the same ole.

From the article~"A bit of background is helpful here. Obamacare requires all members of Congress and their staff to purchase coverage on the individual market, just like Obamacare enrollees. The politics of that plank were simple enough, meant to demonstrate that if the coverage in this law were good enough for Americans than it should be good enough for their representations in Washington."
Congress is on Obamacare . They have to buy insurance thru the D.C. Exchange which has a crap load of options.
How many people making what they are making can purchase a gold plan for what amounts to very little, can see a doctor for free and have free access to military hospitals?
They did a great job convincing people they got what everyone else got but they is not true.
This isn't about career politicians, just the perks that come from being in Congress. Term limits won't change the fact Congress would never pass an amendment that blocks them from getting paid during government shutdowns or force them to enter the exchange like us regular Joe's.
