Here are the last 3 quarters of the US Economy's growth:

3rd quarter 2016: 3.2 percent - OBAMA
4th quarter 2016: 2.1 percent - OBAMA
1st quarter 2017: 0.7 percent - TRUMP

These are facts, they cannot be argued.

EXACTLY! He fell for the trap!!

As I said, Trump supporters took ownership when the stock market soared after Donald took office. Trumpers were convinced that the stock market was booming because of Trump.

Now, it turns out the US Economy had its slowest growth in 3 years. Well, Trumpers? Is that because of Donald, too? You can't have both. You can't claim the stock is booming because of Trump, but then turn around and say the slow GDP growth isn't because of Trump.

Time to stop flip-flopping, conservatives.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. economy turned in the weakest performance in three years in the January-March quarter as consumers sharply slowed their spending. The result repeats a pattern that has characterized the recovery: lackluster beginnings to the year.
Yikes!

I wonder if one of the reasons could be that people are holding off on spending until they see which way the economy goes.

We were all talking about this last Saturday night. No new car purchases planned. Vacations are going to be staycations this year. We're all doing more shopping on Amazon, largely avoiding impulse purchases.

Homes are still selling like hotcakes in our area, but Macy's, Sears, HHGregg, Kmart... are all closing their doors.

We all are aware that financial downturns work out well for the wealthy. Trump said as much in one of his debates. We're all tucking a little away instead of spending it these days.

Wonder if this is more widespread that just our neighborhood.

I said it when people were bragging about Jan and Feb good numbers. I say it now. The economy does not turn on a dime and the Obama term legacy is only now fading away. Call the numbers a combination of both of them.

Wishful thinking, huh? LOL. Somehow the slow GDP growth will be Obama's fault, but the stock market soaring is all Trump.

So, just to recap:

stock market is soaring - Trump supporters: "The market is doing so well because of Trump! Donald is making an impact on the economy already!"

1st quarter GDP is slowest growth in 3 years
- Trump supporters: "This has nothing to do with Trump!"
