Do liberals understand how they're being misled into thinking they can get Trump impeached?

Each charge is called an “Article of Impeachment.” Impeachment of the President does not ensure conviction, and removal from office.

With a majority vote in the House of Representatives, an article or articles is then brought to trial in the Senate. The Senate needs to approve conviction, and therefore removal, by a two-thirds margin (67 out of 100).

In recent history, President Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998, accused of perjury and obstruction of justice arising out of the Monica Lewisky scandal. The House sought to bring other charges, a second perjury charge and a charge of abuse of power, which did not pass to the Senate for trial.

Today, Republican majorities exist in both the House and the Senate. Republicans’ goal, of course, is to give the Republican President every opportunity to succeed.

Think about my previous 2 posts and you would understand that they are keeping the leftist riled up for a reason... "Fundraising". As long as they keep you angry, they increase chances you'll send money.

So how much did the green party candidate make because you were angry and wanted a recount?

It's unlikely that impeachment would result in the removal of Trump from office, just as it was highly unlikely back in the Clinton impeachment proceeding. We'll probably end up with a far more egregious justification for impeachment in the case of Trump than we did with Clinton, as we are talking about potentially treasonous actions versus someone lying to Congress about an affair. But it is still unlikely that Trump would be impeached - not impossible though; we have to take it day by day and see how this investigation unfolds.

Exactly.

The longer it takes, the more Republicans get caught up in the coverup.

As long as Trump doesn't start a nuclear war (fingers crossed), I'm good with letting this play out. Let people see what Republicans are really about.

The constant calls for impeachment, inciting a higher level of anger, works for fundraising purposes. Triggering an emotional response from donors holds the key to fundraising success.

Agree. The whole point of a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) is to prevent irreparable injury before a court is able to give full & reasoned consideration to the lawfulness of the challenged action.

His first Muslim ban was not well thought-out; it was impulsive, unreasonable, careless & his intent was clear, to ban Muslims from travel.

The first one caused chaos & injury & at least several resultant lawsuits.

The second was not significantly different in its intent.

Mr. Trump will have his day in Court, he has clearly brought his fraudulent litigious business model to the White House. & so it goes.
