Under New York law, possessing an "ammunition feeding device" capable of holding more than 10 rounds is a felony carrying a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
Apparently, he wasn't following the law, and he took his chances and lost.
its a BS law
99% of all 9mm come stock with 14/15 round mags
its more communist NY pushing laws that hurt people, rather than help
I wonder if Indiana has super high gun crime since they have very little gun control laws?
It's almost like gun control laws have no bearing on crime.
Indiana has a firearm mortality rate higher than Illinois. NY, CT, MA have extremely low rates compared to those with lose gun control laws. I'm not just blaming guns, there are many reasons for high crime rates other than just easy access to guns.
Indianapolis, Indiana is in the top 10 cities for violent crime rate, well ahead of Chicago.
Gary, Indiana also a very violent city.

Democrats only choose to blank guns instead of dealing with the underlying causes of crime, mostly lake of intact family, poor economy in minority areas, bad schools, etc. Instead they choose to blame a piece of metal and plastic because it is easy to scape goat something not related than own up to their failures in other areas for the people they champion most.

We should be dealing with all aspects of violent crime and that includes easy access to guns.

The problem with these numbers is that the reports still lump accidentals and suicides in with homicides. That's part of what makes states like Montana and Wyoming so high. If we're talking about guns in the context of crime, as is always the case when discussing magazine limits, then we need to talk about homicides, not all gun deaths.
If you look at it that way, for 2013 Illinois had 538, vs. Indiana's 280. The previous year it was Illinois 845, Indiana 251. Wyoming had zero for both those years, despite having a much higher overall number and some of the most lax gun laws in the nation.

We don't have easy access to guns. All purchases from a dealer require a background check. The people who violate that law do not even face prosecution. Then people try and limit magazines, which make no difference, or rifles, which are used in less than 5% of crime and talk about dealing with violent crime.
You can't talk about dealing with crime while proposing laws that have no impact on crime.
Guns are not easily accessible for legal purchase. One must meet certain requirements and had a background check done.
Not in all states.
