Bit of a long read obviously, but the salient points are on the first page. Essentially delays will most likely add in another 1.2 to 1.7 billion to the program cost. Best case seems to be a 500 million cost, but the GAO finds that hopelessly optimistic.

He took credit for the savings, think he will ever mention the new additional costs?

I'm sure he'll bring it up at the next rally.

I thought the F-35 was now operational as they deployed to Lakenheath in the UK just the other week.

Partially. It's still undergoing testing before full scale production. I also believe it's missing some functionality.

Of course he won't.

The "lying mainstream media" will have to report it so that his Trumplings can chant "fake news."

I recall his statement regarding savings on AF-1 but not the F-35

Because in a global market place, everything is sourced. It is not a self sufficient compilation of resources used to build this plane.

During WW-II we had to be self sufficient. To be lean, mean and virtually unstoppable.

Trump lied in the first place, the saving he claimed were fully documented back in 2014, but Trump wants to pretend that is not true and wants to claim the scheduled savings as something he did.

It is the Fart of deal.
