At 56 years old I got maternity care and afraid to use the insurance for care I need.
That's the part I always thought was BS about ACA. Having a baby is optional, a choice. Getting old isn't, but where is the mandated coverage for things like hearing aids and ear screenings, eye surgery for age-related cataracts (my mom needed to have this done in both eyes at age 79)???
**A VERY SAD DAY IN USA BTW---They were exempt from the new insurance. Tell you how much they care about U, me & all of their supporters who voted for them. I voted for HRC!! I am proud to say a woman would have been a better President! I will not reply to any comments in regards to my choice of President!

Under current law, health insurance companies can’t refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition” — that is, a health problem you had before the date that new health coverage starts.
Thanks for handing Congress to the Dems. I feel sorry though for all the people this will affect, and it will be many. I GUARANTEE if a Republican had been the one to get "Obamacare" passed years ago, all Republicans would be saying how great it is. It's only because it was a program designed by Democrats that they hate it. Party before country. So sad. Believe me. So sad. Bigly sad.
Well, let's not forget that the ACA was largely modeled after a Republican program...
ACA is not a mess, it only lacks the republican support to mandate fixed rates by for insurance, and this should be done by legislation. "People" as individual citizens, are a National Security Resource !!!!
As to Hospitals, all hospitals should have been legislated to be mandated to support ACA as active participants in the program.
All Republican have proposed is more of their Antebellum Idealism.... and people are too blind to see it for what it is. It's Confederacy Programming.
It's never going to work without removing the insurance/wall street/profit segment.

The Republicans have not even attempted to find a solution, they passed something written in the last two weeks, and none of them have had time to read it. FACT.
The main places the ACA is failing are places that have worked hard to impede it. FACT.
The average increase in insurance was lower then before the ACA. FACT.
They need to pass this to free up money for tax cuts that are targeted for the rich. FACT.
Those are facts. Not someone being irrational. Irrational is ignoring those facts. I want someone to figure out that you don't solve something this complex with this sort of nonsense. There are other solutions that dont involve killing Americans.

Not my fault people are too stupid to know the difference between social democracy and communism. At least Scandinavia's social policies don't suffer from the "hooray for me, to hell with you" attitude that permeates this country.
Passing a worse bill to replace a bad one just to erase the memory of Obama sounds like typical Trump lack of thinking and foresight. And I bet a month's salary he didn't read the whole thing and has no clue how it works. Assuming the bill passes and becomes law (a big if,) Americans will be dealing with lousy insurance coverage or none at all.
thanks i was worried we would not be able to retake the house or senate in 2018, this brings us so much closer. We will use this against every GOP member of the house come election time. the cheering, the music and the na na na will haunt them.
